Who ware

TinySmile was born out of the desire to create a paediatric dental playground using the latest knowledge and technology to create happy tiny smiles. It was created not to be your typical, clinical white walled dentist rooms, but rather a colourful, fantastical dental playground for kids. We are often told by parents that our little friends remember their first visit to TinySmile as a joyful, fun experience.

Toothache

Rinse the mouth with warm water. If there is any food stuck between the teeth gently dislodge it with floss, this will aid in reducing the pain.

If pain continues you can give your child Panado or Nurofen adhering to the recommended dosages on the package insert.

Make an appointment with your dentist ASAP for definitive treatment.

Trauma

If your child experiences trauma to a front tooth, place a cool pack or pad on the mouth and see your dentist for an x-ray to asses for fractures of the tooth or surrounding bone.

Chipped or Broken tooth

Keep any broken pieces, rinse the mouth and contact your dentist as soon as possible to have the tooth attended to.

Tooth is dislodged or knocked out.

If it is a primary (baby) tooth the tooth cannot be replanted. Rinse the mouth with warm salt water, give Panado or Nurofen for pain relief, adhering to the recommended dosages on the package insert, and then see your dentist as soon as possible.

If it is a permanent tooth it can be replanted. Pick the tooth up by the crown (try not to touch the root), rinse with saline (not water) and try to replant the tooth in its original position. If this is not possible place the tooth in saline or milk with a pinch of salt and see your dentist ASAP. It is important to see your dentist within the first hour after the incident as the replanting the tooth within an hour is associated with the best chance of being saved succesfully.
